I filled for bankruptcy abour 5-6 ago. will that disqualify me from being hired from the Los Angeles Sheriff Department? thank you for all your help.

Why did you file? The bankruptcy itself isn't the problem, it's why you had to file it. If it was an unforeseen emergency, that's one thing. If it was because you accumulated more debt than you could pay, that's another.

I got laid off from the company I worked for. They outsourced there tech support to another Country. This happen right when the economy went down. I couldnt get a job right now to keep up with my debt. I was in unempolyment but it wasnt enought to pay all my bills. but soon after I filled. I went back to school and got degree. But now I want to be in law enforcement. I hope my past that I tried to correct mess up my future.
