    got my pre-polygraph questionarre

I'm in a bit of a bind with one of these questions. It asks about any sexual acts while one is over 17 with someone under 17. I had a girlfriend after I graduated, and I touched her in places upstairs that I shouldn't have, but we never had sex. My problem is that I don't remember if she was 16 or 17 at the time. I was 18. 1)If I put this down, will I be DQ'd? 2) If I honestly am unsure of her age, and I don't know how to contact her, should I put it down?

I want to be honest about everything, but if she was 17, I'm destroying my chances over something that is in fact not true.

Also, I argued and wrestled a lot with my sister when I was younger. Are they going to get all twisted up over it, or is this common among applicants?

Thanks for any help, because after passing my PT test today, I've got something else to worry about.

no it will not be an issue, for an 18 yr old to have a 17 yr old girlfriend. tell them, so it doesnt mess you up in any areas of the polygraph. it should not be a problem. there is most likely the four or five year rule any, not sure what state u are in but i mean, u can be with an underage girl older then 14, if u are not 5 years of difference in age. being 20 and having a 16 year old girlfriend would be legal, in TN it is anyways

I'm in Texas. The question specifically asks about sexual acts involving me when I'm over the age of 17 and the girl is under the age of 17. Does anyone know specifics for TX. I too thought their was a "age difference" rule. This question is grouped with ones about incest, so I think they're serious, unless this is just a polygraph trick to get me scared about the question. I don't know if she was 16 or 17 at the time. That's the problem. If she was in fact 17, and I answer that she was 16, then I've really screwed myself, when in fact I am not in the wrong.

They type of relationship you had, even if she was only 16, is in no way going to DQ you. What they are concerned with, is if you were 18 and messed with a 10 or 12 year old. You're fine.

I have a question regarding this topic. Just out of curiosity, let's say an eighteen year old male had a girlfriend who was 15 years old. Let’s say that they never had "sex" but they did kiss, hug, get cozy, and do some petting / fondling on occasion. Let's also say that the potential recruit / applicant put this on the application or revealed it somehow during the oral board review.
You mean to tell me that the board isn’t going to consider this person a Sexual Offender?
Isn't this some sort of sexual-based crime? Aren’t there laws that state that, "If an adult touches a minor in an inappropriate place a crime has been committed regardless of consent (Statutory Rape)."
I suppose that there is a difference between the "Letter of the Law" and the "Sprit of the Law." The Letter of the Law would dictate that a crime was committed. The "Sprit of the Law," however may paint a different story...

I didn’t write this response to judge or condemn anyone, I was just...curious.

I did find out that there is a 3 year difference rule in Texas. So legally, I'm okay. I just hope that's what they are going off of, and that they don't make a judgement about me.
