While your " record " may be clean , your history of contact with law enforcement isn't.

Why dont you tell us what has happened ( include your home state ) and we can make a better observation.

Got arrested for statutory rape prob 2 yrs ago and got arrested for the crime but the district attorneys dropped my case because the girl was lying, is this on my record and will this stop me from becoming a police officer?

You will be required to disclose the arrest to the department when you apply.

If the official records really do indicate that the accuser lied, then you should be fine. But they will look at the report, file, and all associated documents, so you will need to be honest.

Probably, but I will not do so, nor will anyone else here. That would be a misuse of my access to the system.

There is nothing for you to "be sure" of. You were arrested for statutory rape. Tell them about it in as much detail as you can; they will get the official records during the background investigation.

I'm moving this to "Background Checks/Hiring Process."

The "Questions/Help" section is for questions about the site itself.
