If you were fired for harassment 6 years ago can you still become a police officer?

I had a really choppy employment history while in college. I was terminated at 21 for sexual harassment. This is not sexual assault I never touched anyone. It was simply verbal. I was really immature at the time. I have been at the same job for 6 years and hold three degrees. Furthermore I have no drug use and no criminal convictions or charges. Does this firing 6 years ago disqulify me? Also, what additional steps can I take to show my worthiness? Thanks.

If the people where you work now speak highly enough of you, it's probably surmountable.
