I'm starting to fear I wont become LEO

As a kid, joining the military was the goal I had in mind. When I turned sixteen, becoming a LEO was the one thing I knew I would carry out. Now I am not so confident as I was before.
My associates degree is almost finished and my GPA is atrocious. Throughout my life, I showed no interests and never became a part of anything. I don't have any hard decisions that I can describe to the oral board. I can't say that I can work well under presure because I never really had the oportunity. I don't have any careers that reflect well with law enforcement. I don't have any qualifications. I cant find a significant strength to mention. I have a childish appearance and don't have a commanding voice. In all, I don't feel confident that I can give good reasons why I can be a LEO.
on a positive note, I am a member of my local watch program, I attend a citizen's academy class. soon I will have my CHL and I will become certified in CPR and first-aid, so hopefully that will give a good impression.
I want to be a LEO because I want to make significant changes in people's life, such as saving lives or making a place safer for families. I want a job that does not stick with a routine, a job that deals with different events everyday.
What can I do to show the department that I am a good candidate, despite my flaws?

    Thank you.

    Christopher-

Those are all things you can change. Spending some time in the military, for example, will expose you to other cultures, give you invaluable life experience, show you how you react under stress and pressure, and most of all, would give you something to be proud of and the self confidence that would bring.

Other related careers in which you could start that would be working as a dispatcher, or being a correctional officer somewhere...

But if YOU aren't sure that you are the right guy to hire, it will be very hard to convince the department you are applying for of that.

Go in the military. You will learn a lot and will come out with ( what can be ) a great background.

Look, you have to have confidence in yourself for this job starting day 1 and that means the application process. If you have no confidence in yourself if/when you make it to the Oral Board, they will hand you your butt.

The academy is a whole different level of confidence followed progressively by FTO and your probation. Most importantly, scumbags on this planet can read your confidence level from a mile away. If you don't have it, you'll wind up hurt or dead.

Take MCSAP's advice and go in the military.

Don't specualte so much. Take a breath and push forward.

When I started pursuing police work a few years ago I applied for an agency got all the way to the Oral Board and got my booty handed to me on a silver platter. I walked away from that thinking, "Ok. I've got some personal stuff to work out here." I wasn't nearly confident in myself enough.

Looking back, putting a few years into the military would've been a great idea but, now I've got a plan that doesn't include the military and if I stick to it I'll come out with a job somewhere. I'm completely confident in myself now and I know there's no other career out there that I can imagine myself doing.

Keep your head up and keep pushing forward. I don't know how old you are but check your local agencies and see if you qualify for a cadets program or something like that. Expose yourself as much as possible to the career and life of an officer. After all of that? Apply everywhere you can. And even if you get no after no after no, you can move onto something else knowing that you put everything you had into becoming a police officer and you won't spend you life wondering "What If."
