Hello my name is Kevin. I would like to know if my experimentation as a teenager will effect my possibilities of obtaining ANY job within law enforcment. Here is what I have done...
Marijuana occasionally as a teenager.
Experimented with Cocaine twice as a teenager.
Experimented once with mushrooms as a teenager.
I deeply regret having done that as a teenager. I have made up in the years following. I joined the United States Marine Corps in 2007 at the age of 18, I enlisted as an 0331 Machinegunner. I carried on to have my first combat deployment to Hit, Iraq in 2008. I then went to Infantry Machinegun Leaders course, became certified as a Combat Life Saver, Obtained my cert in CPR by the AHA. Became Certified in Search/Tactial Site Exploitation. Then went on to my last combat deployment, to Afghanistan in the summer of 2010. Immediatly upon arriving there I picked up the rank of Corporal. I was in charge of a Machinegun squad during combat and saw extensive fighting in the battles of Musaquela, Marjah, and the Battle of Sangin and Election day. I helped in the turnover of the Sangin battle-space from the British Royal Marines to the USMC and help set up new TTP's to fight in the jungle like warfare of the area. I recieved a medal for Valor and am being reviewed for a Purple Heart.
Do I have a chance considering what ive done to make up for my teenage stupidity?
