I'm working on an application for a local police dept. and it says I need to include a copy of my previous years tax return. Anyone know what they're asking for? Do I just make a copy of the check I received?
Thanks for any help

No, a tax return is the " 1040" or whatever tax returns you sent in. A refund check is not a return , the document with how much money you made vs. how much tax you paid in is your return.

Hmmm, well I mailed that months ago, do you think I could just fill another one out and attach that? I'd hate to have my application rejected because of something like that.
Thanks again

Whew, I was able to request a copy from the IRS. Now off to get a copy of my driving history... these things are thorough.
