I am about go into a department interview next week and this is the first time going into one. I've been to many, many oral board interviews and I was wondering if I can get some insight as to what the differences and what to expect and best way to prepare if possible? Thanks for your advice out there. Any pointers would be great!

If you've been to many, many oral interviews, you've been to a lot more than I have.
Nobody can tell you what to expect, we have no idea who you're talking to, what they want in a candidate, etc. Go in, be honest and oh yeah, dress nice.Apparently, I'm supposed to be more angry about what Mitt Romney does with his money than what Barack & Michelle Obama do with mine

Whatever you do --- DON'T BLINK!
I've only been through two different ones and got the job both times. Confidence is king and look them in the eye when speaking to them.
