    BI Question

Last year I was hired by Blockbuster video @ the beginning of a school semester. I attended 2 training sessions when a change came up in my school schedule. Therefore, I couldn't work for the video chain. They didn't pay me a penny. Would this be considered a job? I didn't list in my BI packet. Should I? Technically I didn't work for them.

I don't think it is a job but I am not your BI. When ever you are in doubt you should put it down. You will not loose points for putting too much but you will definitely loose point if you fail to put down something that the department thinks is important.
And your whiney *** crybaby excuse would be....

It might be best to list it as an employer. Something like that couldn't hurt a bit if disclosed and it would only make you look bad to have the PD discover it without your assistance. The good departments should be looking for truth and honesty, not technicalities.

On a side not, I'm not sure which state you're from, but I don't think it's lawful for them to NOT pay you, even though it was only training. That's the way it is in CA, anyways...

I was thinking the same thing, nealopp.

If they made you attend training sessions, they have to pay you.
However, I wouldn't list them if you never punched a timeclock or filled out a timesheet with them.
