LAPD Next class JUNE?

Has anyone else heard that they aren't having a class unitl June?

he's not sure exact dates. pretty much up-in-the-air.
What is your status/situation?
Im on deck, all done, just on hold @ 93%.

I'm done with everything. It stinks the longer they put of the class the harder it will be to get into one. It's going to be based on oral score and needs. A friend of mine at Pacific said she watched a video from Chief Bratton and that he had said no classes until next fiscal year.

yah, new fiscal is July.
Call Personnel, ask about exam expiries. They may have changed (extended) recently in light of this. Hang tight.
If I were back in Cailf., I would have been picked up by now...oh well.
Apply to other depts....that can/may get LAPD's you-know-what movin if another dept starts hawkin yah.

I'm not worried about getting into LAPD at all...time will tell when the next class starts

Rumor has it a class might be starting April 5.

Next fiscal year would be the best bet. That's when the LAPD gets their new budget

I just read in todays LA Daily News that they will have the class in April. The number of recruits is yet to be determined.

I was talking to a DI and they said that April 5th is the date. The classes are between 45-60 people. Of that though there will be recycles (injured while in academy) as well. Lets hope we can all get in that class!

I just got the letter also. A letter explaining that no matter where you are in the process, (even for medical appeals) no further work will be done on your file do to the budget crisis. If your score was not high enough you can retake it every twelve months. After my experiences with their process, I am begining to think that they really do deserve the crappy reputation that they have. I had stuff lost by my BI, missed appointments, rescheduled appointments, phone calls not returned, wrong information given, wrong numbers given, extreme reverse racisim, and so on......seems like a circus and they claim they want pro's. They have just wasted alot of peoples time and money. Time to start applying with agencies that have their act together.

it sounds like they are only taking people on the certified list and they aren't going to process anymore until next fiscal year.
