    Employement Question

I am 19 years old, I have had a job but they had to let me go because I was in High School and they needed someone that could work full time.

I am now looking for another job, but being in college I am not going to be able to get a quality one most likely.

My question is if I get a job at say a video store or something like that will it get looked down upon when I apply because it's not a "high quality" job? Or do they just care about job attendance and how hard you work?

You can't really expect to have a "high quality" job at 19. Any job is better than no job at all--unless it involves something in a shady line of work.

College jobs, for most people, are akin to those that high schoolers have during the summer months. If you're in college full-time, your not expected to have a full-time career as well (though some do, especially those who go back to college later in life). The important part is what are you doing with your life prior to seeking a career job (i.e. a "high quality job" as you put it). If you're a full-time student, a college student who also works at Blockbuster on the weekends, or working full-time somewhere in another career field, those are responsible ways to spend your time. Staying at home in mom's basement playing Halo: Reach all day and only working part-time at Pizza Hut, not so much.
