Where are you doing your oral board? Be updated on your current events and be yourself! Don't try to be what you think they are looking for. They can spot a poser a mile away!

We already have a sticky thread here which has many many tips for oral board tests.

No one here will give you any test questions ahead of time. It would be unfair to the other applicants and part of the test is to see how you react to stressful and unfamiliar situations.

If you have specific questions, feel free to ask. We're happy to help.

I don't have any questions but "Shoot the hostage" probably isn't the right answer to any of them. I wish someone had shared that tidbit with me. Also, the question at the end of the Miranda warning isn't "Feel lucky, punk?" but it should be. Good luck.

I think you have to look at it in threaded mode to get context. It's reply to Safety Steve's "where" question. McAllen, TX.

I just had my oral board interview last week. It wasn't as bad I thought it would be. I was just a little nervous. Where are you having your oral board interview? The best advice I could could give you is to just be yourself, try to stay as relaxed as possible. Be prepared for any questions.

Anyone try shooting some whiskey before hand to settle the nerves? Would they buy the 'its just mouthwash' excuse? What about renting a Trooper costume from one of the party store chains? Don't you think they would want to see what you'd look like in uniform? I've also considered going in with broken hand cuffs on the wrists. That would be great testimony to your dedication to getting to work!
