    Awkward? Don't they owe you $5000?? You paid them and they kept it. You didn't owe it to them if you didn't take it in the first place.

    Go the the WF security or HR department and tell them the story and that you want your $5000 back.

    Ok, so I'm curious.

    What was the endgame for this one? Did you hear back from HR dept about your official reasons and the retention of false confessions etc?
