    Strange situation, Background

Last year I worked at a job for about 3.5 weeks. I filled out the form that the company can send to the state. It is now february and I have not yet received my tax document regarding how much I made their. When I go on a background I still plan on telling an investigator that I still worked their. If this stuff does not show with the social security administration, can this be a problem in my background. I am still going to tell a BI that I worked their because it is the truth.

I don't think you will have a problem. They might want to know why you were only there for three and a half weeks though.
And your whiney *** crybaby excuse would be....

Can't you just go talk to the supervisors at this place and ask them why you have not got a W-2 yet?

My main reason I quit was because once I started my new semester in college, The work schedule would pose problems would school. I spoke to my supervisor, she didnot have a problem with this. She told me that do what I have to do, My education is important. I wonder if someone else thinks this would be a problem.

NOt a concern with us. I think you can file a complaint with the local IRS people to make them give you your W-2. Try asking your old company first.

By law, a business has until Jan 31 to prepare your information. as long as they postmark it by then, they are within their rights. Wait a day or so for the mail, then call them.

Do they have your correct address listed?

Side note -- this is why they issue you pay stubs. You should have saved these. If they paid you by any other means other than a payroll check, then you possibly were paid under the table.

Social security office will have the information. You will need to go there in person and present picture ID and your SS card. They will NOT do anything over the phone, and it may cost you money. Oh, and be prepared to wait in line there too.
