    DQ's Concerns.

Hello, I just took the Police Officer 1302 exam and passed. There are a lot of threats here talking about qualifications, and I did search some of them, however everyone DQ's concern seems to be pretty different from each other, so I decided to post my own.

I would like to know if I would get DQ for one ticket I got once fro fare evasion ( I think that is how they called) for using a Student Metrocard on the subway. I did not get any summons, just a ticket, I tried fighting it but when I had to go back to the hiring I was on vacations. I called to reschedule, but they never did. So I ended up paying the fee. That was approximately 3 yrs ago. Also I was fired once like two years ago. After that I got another job which I have been stable for the past 2 yrs and one-half.

I have good credit. ( From the last time I checked )
    Never:
    Done drugs.
    Been arrested
    Got a moving violation

Also I have an additional question. Can you somehow know the reason why you get fired? Like on reports or something?

Getting a ticket for hopping a turnstile is not going to DQ you. (Tickets and summonses are the same thing, BTW...)

If you got fired from a job, there is zero chance that you don't know why. Be honest about what happened, because your background investigator will also find out why. Getting fired in and of itself won't DQ you, but it could hinder your chances depending on what you did.

Your only hurdle is you ability to speak clearly. I am sure you taking shortcuts because you are online. But when meeting with people during the hiring process, use the proper verb tenses, vocabulary, etc...

You know why you fired.....they usually tell you when leave or you already know what you did wrong.

    +1

You can bet they will tell your background investigator why you were canned. If you tell the BI you don't know, he's not going to think too much of either your intelligence or honesty.
Apparently, I'm supposed to be more angry about what Mitt Romney does with his money than what Barack & Michelle Obama do with mine

So basically what they do is call the company and talk to whoever was in charge of you?

I know why I got fired and it was basically this I left the company in good terms once, and for financial reason, I went back and they accepted me. This time I had some misunderstanding with some of my coworkers, so I went to the manager ( trying to do the right thing ) and explain him the situation, when he called us two, she claimed that I was sexually harassing her, and he did not ask me no further questions and just fired me.

I really never touched or verbally harassed any of the employees, I just feel that since the complaint was heard throughout the whole store, he felt the need to just fired me ( or else he would look as a bad manager)

I have work with people for the longest, and even where I work right now I work with all kind of people all genders, age, profession and so on. Never had any problem with any one, but I guess managers sometimes can do things they please.
