Any advice on how to obtain complete driving record?

I'm sure hiring agencies will be able to see every little traffic infraction I've ever had, and I'd like to be up front and include everything, but I honestly don't remember dates and such, and I've probably forgotten one or two violations over the years (my last ticket was over 10 years ago).

Most sources for driving records, whether the actual state DMV or private companies, only go back 7 years. One or two have gone back farther, but none go back far enough.

How can I get a record of every traffic violation I've ever had to refresh my memory and answer questions about it honestly? How do agencies get their information, and can I take advantage of that?

Contact your state DMV. They will furnish that info to you. Various states have different routes to obtain it, but it's public record and available.

Police have direct links to that info, but they can't give it out to you.

I was in a similar situation. I asked my BI and he told me "to just get as close as I could."

I listed "Spring 1994" for one, with the county I was stopped in (though it may have been the city PD that stopped me). I had no issues. No one expects you to remember the date you got pulled over 16 years ago.

As said above, no one expects perfection.

I have used an electronic banking program for many years now (quicken), and I was able to search using that for paying one of my tickets when I applied.

If you have your financial info in an easily searchable format, you might try using something like that. (searching for court costs, etc.)
