    Is this considered fired

In an old job I had My supervisor did not put me in the schedule for 2 weeks.
I called my union rep and told him this. My rep told me to call my supervisors boss which I did. His boss did not believe me and told me As far as im concerned you are terminated. My union rep came to the store and told my supervisor that he needs to have some responsibility and yelled at his boss to.
My supervisor placed me into a new position in the company and his boss was negotiation with my union rep and told him if im willing to take more hours for the week. They were preety surprised at my action because no one in the store stands up to them. I quit 2 days later after I returned to work. I filled out a grievance report and at the bottom was a decision that would be made such as fired, suspended, written up, ect. As I said My supervisors boss told me I was terminated but after the meeting There was no termination and i returned to work and 2 days later I called and told a supervisor to tell my supervisor that I quit. Would anything here be considered fired. I did come back 2 days later and worked and then I quit.

I am trying to boil your post down. It seems as though your immediate supervisor fired you, but that decision was overruled by his boss. Is that correct?

If so, then you quit and weren't fired.

Since this is going on a background investigation, a written clarification may be needed. Check with your background investigator. Where the issue may lie is when they contact that employer and what HR says.

My background investigation didn't care whether I was fired or quit. They wanted to know if I ever left or was released from a job under unfavorable circumstances. They wanted to catch the stories where someone quit before they could be fired.
In time we hate that which we often fear.

This was overruled by the union, The union rep told my supervisor that he should of put me on the schedule. After the final interview there was forms that were filled out for the union. One copy went to the store, one to HR, and one to the union. After everything was done I would start working as a cashier 2 days after I came back. I called a supervisor and told him I was quiting. I called 2days after I came back to work.

You all be the judge to what the answer is, I would say it is quit and not fired.

This isn't being fired, in my opinion. However, it IS considered "leaving under unfavorable circumstances".... plus you quit without notice. That could pose a problem, considering they will call your former employer.

I was working at this company for nearly 3 years, I had nearly 7 supervisors during that time period. I never had any other issues with them. They are no longer working at that store including my last supervisor which I had a problem with. This was the only supervisor that I had a problem with, I only worked with him for about 6 months. I think on a background packet I should explain that I only had him for 6 months. From my previous supervisors at that company I had no suspensions, no write ups, and never was asked to resigh. Do any of you think this issue will hurt me dearly in a BI. I am 100% sure this is the only bad reference I will get.
