Hello Everyone,
I am new here.. Think I have posted just once. Read a lot though.
I've done the physical/written exam, background check, oral board and yesterday I had my interview with the chief.
I believe we started with around 80 people, they told me they were down to 30 at the time of oral board interviews. There are 4 open spots. My interview yesterday really didn't feel like an interview, more so just the chief telling me how they operate and making sure I knew what I was getting myself into. He only asked me a couple of questions. He told me that since I passed the oral board that they must have liked me and he didn't want to ask the same questions over again. Everything felt very positive from him. I wasn't really getting any negative vibes. He asked me if I had any questions. I just asked a few about women, I am a female, and if there were any situations that were tougher on them that I should be aware of. That type of stuff.
Anyways, I've applied at two other places so far, obviously not hired. What should I expect next? They are in a hurry and he told me I should hear something by tomorrow. They are making the decisions for people that need training as quickly as possible.
Any comments are greatly appreciated as I am very new to the process. Does it seem like I have a good chance? It's all just happening so very quickly. Thanks greatly in advance.

So, it's 3:24 right now. Should I call 15 before 5:00 if I haven't heard? Reason it is so important is.. Monday is 2 weeks before the academy. He was needing to make a decision quickly to let us know since it is coming up so fast. So, I'd like to give my current job 2 weeks if I do go forward.
