well today is two days shy of three weeks since the interview, so i gave the HR person a call. she said that they have one more testing date on the tenth, so they will most likely be waiting until after then to make a decision.
she said that in my case, no news is good news and that i should try calling back the middle of next week.
i guess thats good........
lol
my guess is that im not the absolute best candidate they have seen due to my younger age and past underage drinking (which i was honest about in the interview, never had any problems with the law) , so they are waiting to fill out the rest of the positions once they see the applicants who do the physical on the tenth.....

wohoo!
finally got an answer today besides the "no news is good news one"!
called and the HR lady said that they are done with interviews and that i will be receiving a phone call from the sargeant to make plans for the background investigation and fingerprinting etc and that im "still with them"........
she said i would get a call most likely monday since the sgt is off today.
thanks to those who gave me a few interview tips

yeah if i hadnt practiced or thought out a few questions beforehand i wouldve been a disaster.
the scenarios were hard but i never wavered on my answers and i certainly dressed accordingly.
it ended up being an hour and a half with a lot of background-oriented questions which surprised me.
one thing i noticed myself doing (after i was already doing it) that i KNEW i shouldnt do was playing with the pens they put on the table (D"OH!!)

yeah...im not worried about the background at all.......
had a few detentions in school......got a speeding ticket in 2007, a warning in 2009 and no other interactions other than ridealongs with the law. drank underage some times, but never done any drugs at all and was honest about everything.

well guys, I am a week into training and start hands on training on Wed.
getting paid $15 an hour to learn is certainly a nice change for me
