Corrections Hiring Process

Hello all,

It's been a while since I've posted on RP. Anyways, my county corrections test is being offered and although I'm already on the P.O./deputy sheriff list, I plan on taking this upcoming corrections test and seeing what happens. Everyone has to start somewhere. I realize this is a police forum and not corrections per say, but I've received great answers to my questions on here in the past. So I want to ask if anyone would offer me some insight as to how the corrections hiring process works? Is there an extensive BI similar to that of a police BI? What can I expect should I begin the process down the road?
