Hello guys, i am currently 24years old and looking for a career in LE. Ive always wanted to be a cop even as a kid, but for some reason my parents kept trying to steer me away from it. My parents always kept a lot from me growing up. At the age of 15-16 when i wanted to get a license, they said i wasn't allowed, when i wanted to get a job they said i wasn't allowed. Finally when i turned 18, (we lived in FL) we drove to NC and i got a drivers License???? Any questions asked by me were quickly ignored. They also let me get jobs.....Only in certain places. It wasn't until i applied for a job at walmart without my parents permission that i found out that i was an illegal.

And i was getting jobs using a fake SS my father provided for me somehow, that only worked in some places...

Well i got married at the age of 22 to my high-school sweetheart. But i wont become a US-Citizen until Jan 12, 2012.
So here are my questions!
1. Ive been reading previous posts and other websites, and there are states such as IL,CO,Maine,HI,VT,Alaska that will hire you if your a NON US-Citizen, you have to be a permanent Resident and be in the process for Citizenship. Which is that case that means me....Is this True? And why do some places do this and some don't?
I don't know.
2. I have already applied for the police academy here at my local Community College, and on the Application for the School i only put the jobs ive had with my real SS# not the other one. Is this going to effect me in any way?
Yup. That's called "lying". Pray that it doesn't end your chances at getting a cop job.
3.On the application to the school on the drug use section, i put that i never used any drugs. I tried MJ once.
So, you lied again. I was thinking about asking for my application back to change it and say i experimented with it once as a teenager. But is the College application that i turned in to enroll in the Police academy, Is that the application i need to worry about?
At no point in time is it permissible for you, the potential police applicant to lie TO anyone, ABOUT anything, or ON any form.
OR is there another application that i will fill out when applying to a department where i can fix my first mistakes?
Those weren't "mistakes" but calling it that probably makes you feel better.
Or do i need to ask for my school app back to make the changes?
What do YOU think?
Any information is much appreciated, thanks all..
