NYPD - July 2010 Class

Hey guys, it's been a while. I don't see a thread for this year's July class. I was on exam 5046 and was slated to enter last year. Pulled out after getting a firm gig in midtown. Then the PD bug caught on again. I called and was told 5046 would be no good for the July class so I took a walk in exam. Scored perfect.

I got a call yesterday from recruitment asking me questions about my origin, languages spoken, attained degrees etc.. I asked the guy why I was being called and he said it was most likely because they were trying to get me in for the July class. I thought that was really surprising as I figured the list for my recent exam would not be generated for at least 5-6 months and I would have to do some waiting receiving notification to process. Hmmmm... do you guys think the call was in re: exam 5046 or do you guys think it was my recent walk in that prompted this?

EDIT: I have never heard of them calling an applicant just to field these type of questions.

Is that true? Cancelled the July 2010 class? I had just took the written exam earlier this month. I am turning 34 yrs this year, don't know if I would qualify if it gets delay any further.
