Last night, after 29 loooooong weeks of working my tail off, I finally graduated police academy. I graduated at the top of my class of 37 recruits and received an assignment to a specialized unit for field training, which I start on Monday morning at 0645! I told my 1st Sergeant at the post-grad reception that getting my awards and my shield was the proudest moment of my life outside of my wedding and the birth of my daughter. I can't wait to get out on the road and learn my job with my FTO. Thanks to everyone who gave advice, it definitely helped. To anyone who is still in a process or academy somewhere, stick with it and work hard. Take the advice of these men and women on this site because it's always useful. Love this site
