Question?

Hello.
I been wanting to become an officer for quite sometime. I'm going to apply in a town of 6,000 population. The Cheif of Police live on my street, so I talk to him every once in a while. I asked him if they were hiring at his station because I have been putting applications at other ones. He said that they were actually hiring, and told me to get ahold of him in March.
Now I have been studying a while for the entry test, and getting as much information from RP,TV, and books. I really want to know if I should go ask the Chief if the have a ride along program, and what the test entails. Or should I just wait till March. I dont know if being eager is good to them or bugging them. I probably havent talk to him in over a month. I am trying to get all my ducks in a row. Any advice would be aprreciated. Thanks

You don't have to bug the chief about the Ride Along. Just call the station and ask whoever answers the phone.

And wait to ask about the test until you get the application from the station.
