Hello all,
Yep, it's another "I made it" thread!After a few different agencies, a bit of frustration and almost 2 years, I was hired by Manatee County Sheriff's Office.
Gave my sizes today for academy PT gear, and will be fitted for academy and FT uniforms this week. (somehow that part makes it feel real). I start working next week in a "job shadowing" capacity until the academy starts on Jan 25th.
I'll try not to get all sappy here, but seriously, so many of you here have been a huge help for me throughout this process, and I truly appreciate it.
...it's been a lot of hard work, but now the real hard work begins!

Samuel, I wish I knew everything it entails!
I'm a "newbie" in this field, so of course I have much to learn. Oh and Greg I definitely wasn't an Explorer. Have they gotten a bad rep somehow? Not familiar with it really. (maybe I'm just missing the joke there.)
