Hi Guys,
Just have a quick question on a background check before I begin applying to agencies.
The low-down: No arrests, never charged with a crime, never touched a drug in my life, one speeding ticket six years ago.
The only other interaction I ever had with LE was a few years back. There was a belligerent drunk outside a bar who thought it would be a fun idea to come up from behind me, push me and hop into a taxi cab. There was an officer driving by so I flagged him down. They pulled over the guy in the cab, got his info (have no idea what his response was). Came back, got my info. Said if I wanted to file a charge against him, I could. I really had no interest in doing this, it's not like I was hurt or anything. Figured being pulled over was enough to teach the guy a lesson that he shouldn't be putting his hands on people.
My aim is to see whether reporting this would somehow come up in a background check to the effect of "getting in a bar fight" or something like that. Is this something I should worry about? Maybe I'm just freaking myself out, but I wish I never reported something so minor that could "sound" like something more than it was.
