Do you have to offload it now? Can you afford to hang on to it and rent? As an economist my tea leaves tell me something very different than what I thought a few months ago....I was sure there was gonna be a double dip recession but now my belief is that the elections will have such a sweeping change on the psychology of the business community - regardless of what legislation gets passed - that things will start to bounce upward. It would take time for that to catch up with real estate......but I feel we're about to bottom out on the downward spiral. Originally Posted by Adrenolize

Let me caveat to anyone who may be reading this wanting to offload a house.....we economists can't be trusted......none of us have ever found the crystal ball yet....but if in a few weeks you see Republicans swept into office and a very different mood in the country, which I predict is gonna happen....then my predictions about the economy bottoming out should be legit. That may be helpful in your decisionmaking from a general standpoint at least....to know whether we're still spiraling downward or have hit bottom.

Moving right along now. Scheduled for Nov. 4th to start the process again. Going to take a crack at the new competitive style PT & written tests. It is all so new, the recruiters don't really know what to expect.
