We hired a 38 year old who was one of the best rookies we ever had. He was my first student when I did FTO ( in 1991) and now he is an FTO.
Maturity, youthful exuberance, life experience, background, education and common sense must ALL be considered when hiring someone. Being less able in one area can be made up by being more able in another.
