Can I expect that there would be a low chance of a career in Law Enforcement? I wanted to go the reserve route first, so I wouldn't be competing against 500 other more qualified canidates for 2 or 3 positions.

You're going to learn a lot more from the agency you apply for than a bunch of anonymous people on the Internet. The worst that can happen is they say no.

We routinely train officers in dealing with the mentally ill they encounter on the street, but we still usually end up killing one every couple of years and the liberals go nuts.

You haven't seen a liberal community until you've seen Portland. It gives San Francisco a run for its money now. And as I said earlier, downtown is full of mentally ill, homeless thugs, etc. The panhandlers are getting so aggressive that they threaten people, but judges continually throw out any ordinance that even the socialist city council passes.....

I subscribe to the paper only for the comics, the crossword puzzle and to remind me how glad I am I don't work there anymore.......
