    TX DPS September 2009 Academy

    I was accepted into the Sept 2009 DPS Academy. Anyone else on here that I haven't spoken to going as well?

    Hows everyone's pt training goin?

    3 weeks from today is the Report Day!

    It was going great until I had a minor strain in my lower back. Since then I've been trying to heal it up. I won't be in as good of shape as I had hoped come the 27th but I'll be in decent shape. How about you?

    Hey Dart, I will be getting there about 2:30ish. Im getting pumped and anxious. Hope I can sleep tonight. haha.

    Well B-09 has started

    Hey to all those that have been "Welcomed" this past Sunday, congrats just 192 more days to go. Always remember where you are and even though it feels like things can't get worse.. Well honestly they will. In due time though you guys will come together and get it right, from there things don't get easier, but you learn to cope with them and take it a day at a time. Also, from what I have seen there is video out there from your first day experience. You might not be grateful for that now but 27ish weeks from now, those who make it will be able to remember and shudder.

    Week 1

    So week one is in the books. 26 more to go.

    The experience is a new, but great, journey! This really tests you mentally and physically! Chris is right about them tearing up your liver, but the push ups will only make us better. The environment is stressful, but not so much that its not over bearing. The instructors are all great and are going to make us better people overall.

    Had our first exam over fitness and Wellness.

    I hear alot about the food being not so good, but im lovin it..its free, haha. I only have to pay for it with pushups, what a deal!!!

    We lost quite a few already, but the remaining people are great! Hope we stick together.

    Good Luck!

    Best of luck to you all in B-09 as we (A-09) head out the door. Keep up the great spirits as that will encourage others that will be there to support you later on down the road when you will need it yourself. Use the weekends to relax and enjoy with your family. Without the support of your friends and family it will be extremely difficult, don't forget that it is a journey for them as well!
