Believe it or not, some quit because they are not happy with their assigned duty station.

That is about the dumbest thing I've heard about people quitting. You will sit through a 6 month academy putting up with all they can dish out, but you can't go to your 1st duty station and then transfer after a year. These are the folks hogging all the slots for those of us wanting to be there.

Zack, where are you at? You can update O.com, but not here? I'd give you a shout out, but they won't give me an account for some reason. Anyway, stay strong! I'd bet you are a tad antsy about now!

If I went through six months of hell I wouldn't care if they put me in the arm pit of Texas, especially if I only had to stay a year. Suck it up and Ranger on! This is isn't just a job we are talking about, it's a career.

Week 22 is now in the books!

What a long, but fun week! Patrol Procedures!
The field training is the best part. Escape Zones really made you think and made you learn to react. AWESOME Instructors as well.

PT is starting to be more like Physical Training and alot less like Punishment Time. Long runs are still a killer though.

We have the 8 mile Memorial Run on Thurday! HONOR THE LEGACY!!!!!

    Only 6 more weeks left!

    5 weeks until TCLEOSE!!!

    April 9 is coming quickly!

Will update more later. Good luck on those applying!

    God Bless!

    Week 23

Week 23 is now in the books as well with the others.

This week was a great week. We had Low-light training with the lights and Criminal Interdiction. We also had Combatting Terrorism and Drug Identification.

We had the "Honor the Legacy" 8 mile Memorial Run ysterday. We all ran over 8 miles and finished in 1 hr and 17 min. Running for all the fallen Troopers was an honoring experience.

The class is becoming more united as the weeks go on.

We have Crash Investigtion all next week along with trol scenarios for ACT.

5 weeks left. The light is getting bigger by the day!

    God Bless!

    Week 24

Week 24 is in the books.

ACT scenarios were fun. PT is starting to be really ejoyable. We can run on our own like adults now. I just can't wait until I can spend everyday back in the weightroom. That place was my home before I entered the Academy, so a return trip back home is much needed. Lifting weights on Saturdays just isn't cutting it anymore! I've lost 37 Lbs(came in at 280, weigh 243 now) as of right now and I want to start getting my mass back. It won't be too much longer.

Ordered my class ring on Tuesday as well.

We are going through Crash Investigation right now. Learning to do the Crach Reports were fun. Learned the paper method and the computer way. We also learned Police math for getting speeds from skid marks and yaw marks. Thats interesting stuff right there.

We have Crash Investigation again this week alond with starting SFSTs on Friday.

We also have more ACT scernarios and platoon challenges for PT.

Just studying and trying to prepare for TCLEOSE now!!!

Less than 3 weeks until we test for TCLEOSE!

4 more weeks. Home Stretch Now!

    April 9, 2010!

    Week 25

Week 25 will be in the books in a few hours.

This week went by pretty quick! WMD on Monday, Crash Investigation with Scale Diagrams Tu-Th, and beginning of SFSTs today.
SFST is an aweosme class. Very interesting information. With interesting classes, come quick days. We have SFSTs all next week too! The practical will be a fun day as well.

PT is finallly starting to be fun. We finished ACT scenarios on Tuesday. We are starting to be allowed to workout on our own!

650 straight sit ups this morning in 1 hour! Everyone completed!

Also received our uniforms today for pictures next week.

2 weeks until TCLEOSE!! Study time!

    3 Weeks until GRADUATION!!

    Week 26

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    26 weeks down!!!!

We finished up with our FINAL PRT this week. I didn't improve much, but with the ware on the body tat the academy brings, I'm just glad my knees are still functioning. HAHA We also ran a FINAL figure 8 aroun the campus this morning to conclude the PT sessions of the academy and to smbolize how far we have came. For the final 2 weeks we are allowed to workout on our own, which means I will be utilizing the weightroom!!!!

This was a long, but fun week for the classroom. We had SFSTs and Intoxilyzer Certification.

I'm taking TCLEOSE next Friday! Study Study Study!!!

Less than 2 full weeks left until Graduation Day!

April 9, 2010 is just around the corner!

Good Luck to everyone applying for the upcoming academies!

    Take care. God Bless!

    Week 27

Week 27 is now in the books.

What a week. We had Report Writing for Monday-Thursday and TCLEOSE testing on Thursday and Today. Report writing was good information to learn right before we enter the highways. The instructors were great as well.

PASSED TCLEOSE with a 90%. Certified!!!!!

PT is now the best part of my mornings now. I'm able to get in the gym at 4:30 am with one of the Cpl counselors and lift. It's a great feeling that I sure have missed for quite some time. GOTTA STAY MOTIVATED!!!!

We are now getting new privileges as well:Drinks other than water with meals, adult trays in chow hall, and we don't have to shave our heads anymore!
    Growng up is geat!!

Ceasar is a GREAT man. I've truly learned alot from him that will be put to good use in my career and I Thank him for that!

    Next week is GRADUATION!!!!!!!!

If anyone has any questions, let me know and I'll try to help out.

Good Luck to the future applicants.

That is pretty motivating stuff! I'm now wondering if it would speed things up for me if I camp out on the lawn up there. I hope I get the call next week, I'd love to see the graduation.

Zack, do you know if anyone is going to record the ceremony and post it for we Out of towners?? I'd come if I could.

no, we are getting drummers and possibly someone playing the bagpipes to come.

Y'all did a great job with y'all cadence. We just didn't have the time to learn it with everything going on the last couple of weeks with minimal down time.

Thanks for the support and for all the help you've been throughout my process.
