I know we've had passing discussion on this topic, but now it's here for me. Any advice? Any experiences? Anyone leave the psych exam saying I wish I'd know that prior to taking it? Thanks.

Don't overthink things!!!!!
Answer the first thing that comes to your head, and don't do what I wanted to do: "Oh, I did XXX once, guess I should check "yes" to always doing it". LOL
900 questions. No surprises. We'll see..meeting w. the Shrink next week.
Will keep you posted.

Your Welcome. I have never had one so I am curious to hear your reportings...Guess they don't know I am crazy yet...LMAO
I said no surprises, but that's not entirely true. The fact that the test had 900 Questions surprised the **** out of me.
900, all t/f, Questions like this....
A guy cuts you in line at the supermarket, you say something to him. t/f
Married couples don't show enough affection. t/f
I care what people think about me. t/f
I thought about killing myself last week. t/f
I hear voices. t/f
Some of the questions were absolutely ridiculous, but I guess there's a meaning behind each, so they must be asked.

I wouldn't have any idea on how to answer that second question. LOL
true, true, true, false, true (oh, wait, I'm SUPPOSED to hear voices in my head - its those darn cops!)
Yeah but how can you answer a question (#2) that you don't know? Base it off the divorce rate?
I had 3 psyche tests in one day about a month ago. In total it was 1200 questions. It gave me a huge headache! After it was done and graded they said I was a category 3 ( out of 4) which meant I was recomended but with reservation. The Dr. said that I may have trouble with authority which isn't true at all. He also said that I don't like change which isn't true either. I don't really know how they get all that info from those t/f questions.

They were who we thought they were.
Playoffs?? Playoffs!!??? Don't talk about PLAYOFFS!!!??
Mine was atleast 1200 questions long... and the first and last test had the same questions on it if I remember correctly. My hand hurt so much after filling in all those stupid bubbles! They don't tell you your rating on that until after you have met with the Psych.

Gun Control is hitting what you aimed at.
Jynx... you are overthinking the question too much. That's the toughest problem with taking those. It isn't a right/wrong answer where you must prove/rationalize why you answered the way you did. It is just based on your feelings about things.
I hate taking tests like those because I over think it.
Oh I see...I was gonna say...How the hell would anyone know?
At my meeting with the Shrink next week I need to bring a completed Assessment Questionairre. (PHQ...the 2nd one for this PD) to his office. 28 pages of Me, my family, employment, college, drinking, drugs, physical health, mental health...etc. This document will be used in conjuction with the bubble test to create a recommend/don't recommend profile.
I'm starting to think this will be a 4 hour "meeting"
