I have completed everything in the process to be hired as a deputy, just waiting on my results on my physical, i dont believe i have any conditions, all that's left pending, is a blood test, urine analysis, and a FOBT...i don't have any conditions that i know of that would cause me to be DQ'd. I'm just driving myself crazy sitting around waiting on the results of the physical. i guess the nerve racking part is that I've already given my current employer my notice, and haven't "formally" been offered a job, because the academy is starting in less than two weeks I had to tell them ahead of me even being offered the job...so if I believe I'm in good health should i have anything to really worry about with these tests?

k, im now driving myself crazy waiting, the academy is starting on the 23rd and my last day is set to be this friday, at my current job. what im wondering, is should i call the guy in HR to see if they have heard about my physical. cuz the thing is he orginal date the academy was supposed to start was the 16th (tomorow) but they pushed it back a week, he was going to allow me to start the academy even withou having my physical back. its just driving me crazy!!!!!
so should i call at least by tomorow afternoon, cuz i dont wanna be coming to work on friday and have no idea if it really is my last day or not...

In your particular case , with your current job expecting you to leave and your apparently solid prospect of getting in this class....I dont see a problem calling.

Something like that would not be unreasonable. If this was months away and you were just anxious , I would tell you to wait it out.

what should i do...i called the doc office where my physical was done, and they said that everything looked good and was just waiting on someone from the dept to come pick it up, and i still havent gotten a call from the HR guy letting me kno everything was official, they have their errands ran by someone for everyone in the office, they are yet to go get my results, and today is supposed to be my last day at my current job, and im trying to decide whether i should offer to go and pick up the results and bring them in for him. cuz its putting me to the point where the academy is starting next week, and im supposed to not be comin to work here next week and i dont know for sure about anything, and i guess im just rambling cuz im getting very antsy just sitting back and trying to wait. thanks for the vent! so, would you call and ask about picking it up r what?
