please help

hi my name is JT and i'm in a horrible situation....i really want to be a cop , i am 17 yrs old,and a high school senior and i am in my law enforcement class at school as a sergeant.
i was hanging out with friends , one of them did something stupid and then ran away and never caught, he and i were dressed alike and witnesses swore up and down it was me and it wasnt....i had no one to back me up. they said it was guilty by association .i was arrested for a petty larceny, then placed on some program for first time offenders called the consent docket. If i completed this program they said it would be like it never happened and off my record:confused:. im worried that this will affect my career in law enforcement in the future. i really want to b a cop and now i have something on my record i didnt do.....please help me to go in the right direction

Did you tell the police that it was your friend and not you?

Did you explain that you were dressed alike and it was a mistake?

I bet that you didn't.

A "friend" that would sit back and let you take the fall and possibly mess up your dream career does not deserve to be protected.

Get new friends now.
