    Background/Poly for lvmpd

I applied as a cadet for lvmpd, got a 92 on my written, and i think my oral board went quite well. I got the personal history questionnaire and the pre-employment polygraph booklet at the oral board, and I had a couple questions about it. Im 19 and have never done any sort of drugs, but I've drank a couple of times. How bad will I look when it asks "when was the last time you consumed alcohol, what type, amount, and how often" and it shows I have? I doubt it is something that will get my dq'ed, but Im still worried about it.

Don't worry about it. Just don't ever do anything illegal again.
Of every one hundred men, ten should not even be here. Eighty are nothing but targets. Nine are real fighters, and we are lucky to have them, for they make the battle. Ah, but the One... One of them is a Warrior... He will bring the others back.

    "Wrong door, buddy!"

Let no man's ghost say my training failed him.

I would only worry about it if your answer to the question would be "last night," "at breakfast," or "on the way here."

I seriously doubt it will disqualify you, however you need to stop the underage drinking. If you do get the position as a cadet and then subsequently get caught with alcohol, not only will you probably be terminated from your position but you'll probably erase any hopes you have of being hired as an officer in the future. A cadet is considered a stepping stone to a sworn position, so you will be held to higher standards than someone applying for a sworn position off the street.

It is definately not habitual. The question asks the last time you consumed alcohol. I've been drunk only once, and that was in Mexico (which was legal because I was already 18). Since then, I had a couple sips of white wine a while back at dinner (definately less than 1/4 of a glass). Nothing more than that.
