    Background packet question.

I have a question that asks if i ever quit a job because of any form of diciplinary action.

I quit my job because my supervisor wanted me to be a cashier because he did not want me in my location i was working in the store. Rather than becoming a cashier i quit. Does this clasify into that category.

Will this hurt me at all.
I was never fired or asked to quit. This was something i did on my own.

No, it would be more like if your boss told you to work as a cashier, you refused, and he wrote you up (firing you) due to insubordination. If you quit without notice, the company calling to check your references could use that against you.
Yes, I know companies aren't allowed to give out certain info, but there are ways around it. All the BI has to ask is "Would you hire him again?" and the boss can say "No." "Why?" " He quit without notice". That happens a lot.

I think they may be looking more for honesty here. I have a friend who was 'asked to quit' on a job once and he had no problems getting hired with the Sheriff's office.

If that situation you describe is your biggest 'worry' on your background, don't sweat it. Just be honest and explain what happened if/when they ask.
In God we trust, all others better show me their hands.
