    Hello Everyone

I have been working security at a local bar in my town and they have been paying me cash.I only took the job because I needed some extra cash for school,I have applied to about 100 jobs and no luck.I am very worried that this will get me DQ'ed from working as a police officer. What can I do to make this wrong right?I know that if I do not include the job in the employment section of the Application I can get caught and never be allowed to apply again. So my question is has anyone on here ever experience a similar situation or know someone who has? Please I have never been in trouble with the law and becoming a police officer has been a lifelong dream,Have a great day!

Im not sure what your recourse would be but a good startwoul be to declare your extra income on your taxes this year.

P.S. as for not being able to find a job I am sure you could have found a part time job for a little extra cash, it may not have been what you wanted but mickey d's is always hiring.

Yes, though we're not accountants or employees of the IRS, so the specifics of how you do this is not something a cop is probably best equipped to answer.
