    Question Medical Record when Minor..?

I have a question. Im going through my interview process for detenion deputy. I passed my exam and interview. In jan ill go fill out my background check packet. When I was 13 I voluntary admitted myself to a rehab for marijuana use twice and they gave me some antidepressants as well. Well I am 22 now and dont do drugs, Im not depressed I dont take anti depressants anymore. Ive been off of them since I was 14-15. Im completely stable have a clean criminal record and driving record. And excellent work history. Will they look that far into my medical record and actually take that into consideration? When I was 13 i signed a paper saying I couldnt purchase firearms for 5 years. But Im in great condition mentally and physically. I contacted the rehab center and they said it probably wont be looked at because Ive moved alot and its when I was a minor. So if you could let me know thanks.

Yes, they will probably look at that.

I hope you were honest about it.

...when you were 13 you signed a paper statingg that you wouldnt buy any guns for 5 years ??

I dont think you could anyway but , that sounds rather significant in an adults background, I think that with this being a LONG time ago , you will probably just be asked a good bit about it.

This doesn't make any sense. A 13 year old cannot admit themselves to rehab. A custodial adult has to do it. And because you tried pot twice? And they put you on anti depressants? And they made a 13 year old sign a form saying that you won't buy any guns for five years?

Brother, there is something you aint tellin us.

Yeah, there is something definatley wrong here.

Like Norm said, one a minor can not admit themselves into rehab; second, most rehab places will probably not take someone who took only marijuana twice.

Also, a thirteen year old can not buy guns for at least five years anyway.

I think the BS meter is into the red on this one.
