Am I fine to apply now

Hi, I just recently applied to a PD, passed the written and was given a personal history disclosure document.

Some areas that concern me would be...

    Theft

At 16, took food I was not allowed to take and gave free food out to friends. I was fired shortly because of that.

Snuck into a movie in highschool

In highschool kept pens and pencils I borrowed

    Association

I knew drug dealers and people involved in criminal activity, I talked to them, sometimes would be in the same place with them. Friends of friends. But was never around during any of their illegal activity. (Highschool)

    Self-Injury

During my early teens for a few months I injured myself purposefully, why? I don't know, but I never had to see a shrink or be admitted.

    Impersonation of a police officer

One night with friends I called other friends in a disguised voice pretending to be a detective from police dept. It was too scare them because of a prank/vandalism they did in another city. They found out it wasnt really the police and we all had a chuckle. (16 years old)

Right now I am 24 with a BA in Business admin, I have been an army reservist for 4 years now. I am also a volunteer fireman in my town, less then a year. I am currently a banker (2 years)

I have read quite a few of these background posts and by the looks of mine I assume I should put more time between them. So far it has been 8 years, would an additional two help me?

It has been 10 years since the self-injury. I do not know what else I can do about it, I cannot change my past. All I could've and did do was refrain from doing anything stupid like that again.

Self injury implies some sort of psychological issue. It will come up and it may very well hurt you.

Is this dependent on the clinical interview? Or will the recruiting panel disqualify me because I had it written on the PDF? I can honestly say I have not shown this behaviour at all for 10 years. But an incident such as this cannot be "fixed" what's done is done, I would like some opinions on what my best option would be as of now? Is there anything I can do to counter this black mark?

Would the cutting be held against me even if I (assumingly) pass the psych?

Oh, so you are saying that bringing this up may disqualify me before the psych. Okay.

Do you think 10 years is sufficient time for them to even consider me?Should I continue with my application? I just saw it as a question on the PDF "Have you ever intentionally harmed yourself with a weapon?" And as of now I am unsure what to do..

Is there anything I can do such as waiting, going full time military etc. That can help them see it is past me?

i would think the association and hanging out with drug dealers would be a pretty big hurdle to jump...

It was highschool, everyone knew a drug dealer or drug user. I don't think that is a problem, I did not partake in any of their activities with them.

So I did not have my question answered. Should I put more time between this, more then 10 years?

I think the cutting is an issue regardless of how much time you put between it but thats just my perspective

Thank you Roger_Dat, I hope I am not DQ'd before I can explain myself to the psych examiner. Stay safe.
