My degree is in psychology.. Cutting or injuring yourself is considered a pretty "big deal" in the psychology community, so I would imagine it may cause some problems.. Did you ever see a doctor (of any kind) or counselor for this?

If you can establish the root of the problem it may help in dealing with the psychologist..

Have you ever downloaded music without paying for it, or movies without paying for them?

No, I did not see any psychologist or counsellor. I initially did it just for attention, but my parents were getting very worried so I knocked it off. I'd LIKE to believe I don't have a problem because of an incident that happened 10 years ago. But I am not a psychologist, all I can base it on is, that there has been no such incident since, and every aspect of my life is as tame and normal as it can be.

What does it matter? I wanted to ask that question, and I did.

    He stated:

Snuck into a movie in highschool

In highschool kept pens and pencils I borrowed

These things seem very juvenile, and if he downloaded music illegally, I wanted to let him know that this is also considered theft.

To answer your question, no. Yes, these things are juvenile and I am almost certain the majority of teenagers have done this. Are you trying to label me a habitual offender/thief/criminal?

I have listed all the things the police dept would be asking of me, and that is all I have shared.

I agree, if it happened over 10 years ago then it probably shouldnt matter, BUT I have no idea what a PD's psychologists wants to know..lol
I just passed my psych but I felt like I failed based on his interaction with me.. Who knows..

    Go for it..

Admit to what you did. Hpoe that the passage of 10 years and your transformation into a productive member of society will make up for what you did. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

Yes, I think you are a habitual offender.

In any of my text did you see anywhere in which I said "you are a habitual offender/thief/criminal"? NO. You must have paid attention in reading class.

I don't want to get into an argument with you. The only reason you possibly asked that question was to see if I had committed more crimes. Thus, you attempting to put a label on me.

This is backgrounds, so I shared all areas of concern in my initial post.

If you think I am only revealing half of my crimes, you are correct! Cause you know, I have a Grand Theft Auto charge, a criminal mischief charge and ALMOST a felony evading charge (I ran track in high school)

    Just a bump.

Is it going to look bad if I haven't spoken to my parents in 4 years? We never got along so as soon as I had the oppurtunity I moved away. I haven't seen or talked to them since I was 20. I didn't come from a violent home or anything, it's just they had these ridiculous mood swings and would turn on me or each other when other parts in their life was giving them a hard time. So I just had enough and left when I could.

    Is this DQ'able?

If your parents are unstable is going to lead to more emphasis on why you were cutting yourself. Apply and see what happens. Each individual department is different we cannot give you the finality of an answer in which you seek.
