My man, stvstvns...do you REALLY think that someone can commit a crime (lets say DUI), then get convicted, then have his/her conviction expunged/sealed/erased/terminated/destroyed so NO ONE would ever know it was there? So what happens if that same person does the same crime in another state? Does he/she get treated like he/she never had a DUI ever before, so he/she gets a slap on the wrist?

From what you are saying...someone technically can get convicted of a crime in MD, get it expunged, then repeat the process 34 times with the same end result...expungement. Naaa...aint gonna happen. SOMEONE will ALWAYS see your record, no matter if it is the police, an internet search, or the courts.

That's EXACTLY what I'm saying. I don't know how many times you can get away with something (don't care to know neither) but once an expungement is granted IN CERTAIN STATES IT IS DELETED/DETROYED/REASED. Re-read a few posts back. Do your own homework on finding out what states this applies to. Even your fingerprint cards will be DESTROYED. I'm not saying that the information isn't floating around in other places but as far as the arresting agency, local and state CJIS and even the FBI it is DELETED!

In PA , an offense like a DUI also appears on the persons driving record which is not part of a criminal history and therefore is permanent.

Wow, you get banned and then you come back on here and reply to your own thread. How many times do you think that YOU can get away with this? HAD YOU ANSWERED YOUR OWN QUESTIONS EARLIER, YOU WOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN BANNED.
