Hey guys, I moved to Washington over a year ago. When I got here I turned in my Florida license, they punched a hole in it and gave it back..keepsake I guess. So recently as I had decided to apply for LE jobs I pulled my dmv record from Florida. No tickets for the past 5 years but right at the top it says my license has an FR suspension, FR stands for financial responsibility. I got my WA license on 11/2007, then it shows WA reports to FL I now have a WA license and then on 01/2008 FL suspends license for pip insurance not reported from insurance carrier. I don't discover this until 10/2008, I go on the FL dmv website and I'm able to manually enter my insurance info. Immediately my license is reinstated stating continuous coverage. I order a new FL license report and it states basically everything I've covered here. Tomorrow I'm going to call FL and see if they can just erase the darn thing from my record but in the meantime I listed it on my apps with a detailed explanation and a copy of my otherwise spotless driving record. Still now that I'm sitting here waiting for test results, I'm worried they may just see my license was suspended less than a year ago and throw my personal history statement in the trash. Also it makes no sense..how can a license from another state get suspended after it shouldn't even exist?
