    Nervousness turning into fun

I took my second PAT this weekend for one of the depts. I'm applying for. However, unlike my first PAT test for a different agency, I actually had fun with this one. I had to strap on a 12 pound belt and sit in a patrol car. They said ,"Go!" I jumped out and all I could hear was the theme to Cops in my head as I weaved through cones, jumped a fence, climbed through a window, drug a dummy, and held the arrest simulator machine for 30 seconds.

Does anyone else have fun at these tests or am I just crazy?
Wiggum: Put out an APB on a Uosdwis R. Dewoh. Uh, better start with Greektown.
Friday: That's "Homer J. Simpson", Chief. You're reading it upside down.
Wiggum: Uh, cancel that APB. But, uh, bring back some of them, uh, gyros.
Friday: Uh, Chief? You're talking into your wallet.

    You're just crazy. :D

When I took mine, I was nervous as all hell, and I was in good shape. I had just gotten out of the Marines. The test was much easier than anything I ever did as a jarhead, but I was still very nervous. I don't know why, even during PFT's in The Corps, I always got nervous before hand.

I took the one in Portland last weekend and it wasn't fun nor very difficult. It was an obstacle course that you had to finish under a certain amount of time.

If I'm fortunate to be hired by the PPB, one of things I'm looking forward is the increased physical regimen of the Oregon Police Academy in Salem. With that said, I'm in good shape and not in great shape, which is why I'm getting ready now.
