Temp Agencies & many, many jobs throughout college.

    Hello all,

Thanks in advance to everyone who reads this and provides some advice! I am a twenty five year old female living in NYC, graduated with a BA in May 2007 and have an extremely long list of past employers. Since graduating I have been through 3 or so temp agencies which give me these one week, two week, assignments so when I list my background of employment do I list the agency or all the jobs? I also worked at many different jobs throughout college but never stayed for more than 4 or 5 months because they were retail, waitressing, or other part-time gigs that I just needed to help wih school and tuition.

Anyway I know tenure is very important and I am afraid that my resume makes me look like a flake. I have always wanted to pursue LE but have never, until now, been ready to really commit myself and pursue it. I fear this hinders any progress with applications. I have no record, good credit, physically fit (ran the Houston marathon), but do not have tenure in my resume.

    Any advice is much appreciated!

What you may want to do is list the temp agency. If any of the employers you worked for through them did not want you to return, I am quite sure they would have told the temp agency and the temp agency would relay the info. to your BI. But.....check with your BI first and explain the situation to him. Good luck.

The BEST work reference that I got when I applied at my current job was from a Temp Agency I had worked for 2 years prior. I went where they asked, did what they asked, showed up on time and didn't complain.

From the pool of temps that I dealt with , I was the rarity in the bunch because they were late or failed to show , did lousy work and COMPLAINED a lot.
