well, might as well get it started....everyone "frozen" for January 09 you should be "thawed out" by July 09. Good luck and hang tight, you are just going to be a little more cramped and crowded in the locker rooms and in Gym block:D

Got a call from an investigator today. She told me not to come in 2 weeks from now for orientation because it got cancelled. I asked her whats going on for the july academy, of course she had no information to give me. This sucks.

I very sorry that the freeze happened to all you hopefuls out there waiting to get in the academy. However, I would caution in assuming that there will be a July 2009 academy, the word around the academy, is that is freeze could go on for a long while. The situation in the city is awful and at this point no one truly knows when the next academy will be. But, there is always hope and guys don't give up on your dreams.

Mini med or regular? And what are they saying over at the medical? Also i thought they were cancelled

Regular Medical -Technically it was canceled. I went got it done and i listen to my voice mail the next day stating it was canceled. Everyone was wondering how come so little people were there lol.

I was told from a friend in the dept. that july's academy is going to be huge. around 2k, this is just talk but still, hopefully the city will do that

Why would they still do the mini medical even though the jan class is cancel?

They're processing for July now. but yeah my medical was technically canceled don't really know why they are still holding it. my Jst is scheduled and everything so it's all good

I went to take care of my mini wed this past wednesday and although the class is cancelled as of now, all the cops at the mini med said that there could be a chance the class does happen. Obviously they dont have an answer but they said that if it doesnt happen in jan it can happen any month after that up until July so who knows what the deal is. It really is just a waiting game for all of us.
