    Backround Check Question

Iam new to this site and got a few questions, i do want to become a class 2 officer {summer cop} in South Jersey Area. Iam a hispanic male 20 years old with a high school diploma tryed to get into the military but found out they disqulify applicants for having psorisis on the spot know matter howbad it is even if its a little patch on your knee. I wanted to know if anyone knows if law enforcment is the same. Iam very atheletic and psorisis never held meh back from doing my current job as a commercial fisherman. Fishing is a very physical demanding job as well as law enforcement. Will having a kinda bad driving record disquilify me too i mean iam 20 years old, teens arent gonna be perfect drivers been driving since i was 16 years old I dont care if iam a bike cop i just want to be a law enforcer i dont have no felonies what so ever and and no misdemeners either. I used to be a boyscout and my scoutmaster was a cop he is a luitenant now he is willing to write me a recogmendation for meh. I also have a gun permit where the FBI did a backround check on me and aloud me to purchase a gun will this help me, I just want to serve my community in some way thanks alot for your time...

I fixed up your post for you, the better grammer and spelling makes it more likely people will read it. If you become an officer, report writing is very important, so try to work on that.

As far as your history goes, the only thing I can see is the driving record, exactly how bad is it?

Your grammar is horrendous. Finish a college degree, learn how to write properly and then you have a shot.

I was gonna comment about his grammar and spelling, but I figure I have done enough whining about that lately.

    But I agree completly.

Sorry about the grammer i was just typing fast. I actually did very well in english class. My driving record in the past 4 years includes 3 speeding tickets, got a summons for not being able to show reg but I was able to show proof i had a reg in court, another summons for not making a complete stop before I can make a right at a light, and just recently got a ticket for not being able to show valid ins card forgot to put my new ins card in my car. I mean Iam not a felon,I just made stupid mistakes when i was a teen. I have pretty good references and a good recommendation. And I heard agencys like to have a diverse staff maybe its a rumor dont know. I do speak very politely and if i get to the interview board will definitely wear a suit and tie. Iam just trying to serve my community in anyway. Thanks sorry for the grammer mistakes....

Six tickets in 4 years isn't good. And teens aren't supposed to have bad driving records , some just do.

You need to find out what the requirememts are for the area in which you are interested. And remember, that at your age you are likley looking at only meeting the minimum standards and you will be testing against those with either a degree or military.

DO you speak Spanish ? That would be a good attribute to have.

As said above your driving record leaves alot to be desired. Clean that up and let some time pass between the tickets, finish your degree then give it a shot.
