I live in Ohio and when I was 17 (2 years ago), we had a really bad winter storm here. I had work in the morning after it had been snowing all night, so I got ready to go to work and left. I got about a mile from my house when my car hit some black ice and I hit a guard rail. I was driving really slow because of the conditions, and I estimate I was going about 25mph. The airbags did not even deploy. I got a ticket because I was unfortunate enough to hit some state property with my vehicle. Most of the damage was inflicted on my car and the guard rail was spared. The reflector was knocked off, that is it.
Being a minor it was mandatory to go before a judge. I explained my story and she just said to pay the court fines. I also had to attend some driving lecture, but every minor had to do so. It was mandatory.
Now that you have the history, my question is this. Did I ever actually get a ticket and will it show up on my driving record? Obviously the officer issued it to me, but was it thrown out?
