I'm fairly certain someone filed a false police report on me a little over a year ago claiming that I assaulted them. A Detective called me, and I spoke to him about it, but then I never heard from him again. I have no criminal record, but I was wondering if a background investigator would be able to find out about a police report. Is every police report that is written up, stored in a giant county or state database, that a background investigator can look up?
I'm putting together my PHS and I was going to include this but a friend of mine thinks I shouldn't mention it. Now I'm kind of worried about it. Should I be worried about a police report? I was never charged or convicted of anything. I think it should be okay. It would be worse not to mention it and have them find out. What do you folks think?
