How long for FINGERPRINT results?

Hello,

I was fingerprinted Wednesday 9-17. The inked me up and rolled me on 3 sheets and said they would run them with 3 different agencies. I am wondering how long it takes to get these results back.

I'm not a LEO so I don't know for sure, but I would guess it depends how busy the three departments are. It could take a week to maybe a month?


Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

Depends on the size of the agency, I imagine. Mine has computer links that can check instantly. Some have to mail them off.

Are you worried about a record or something?

The agency is on the smaller side. They dont have the digital prints. So yes they do have to mail off. I'm not worried at all about anything. I am just so anxious to get started and move along as quickly as possible.

3 sets of prints = local, state, federal. We use livescan, even for background investigations.

Any idea on how long that will take to get the 3 results back?

The FBI used to take about two weeks. It might be less now that they can electronically scan them. I suspect two weeks is probably about max for both.
