Dispatcher Hiring process!!

Just thought I'd update you guys on my situation... I'm applying for a Police Dispatcher position with the city of Morgan Hill, CA...

So far Ive passed the written test with a 70 (which, I guess, is VERY good. they said I got one of the highest scores, if not the highest, out of the group of 40)

I also just got a letter saying I passed my Oral Board, which I was REALLY sure I had failed. Now I'm on the eligibility list, and I guess it's time to start the BG...

That's about it. Luckily, I've been a good boy!

Good luck to you! I'm shocked that only 40 people applied and that 70 is very good.
We had over 300 applying and the high score was 95 (by me, thank you very much :D ).
Do they give you a ranking?

How long has it been since you started the process?

Well, I tested the saturday before thanksgiving, had the oral board on Dec. 5, and I'm waiting for the PHQ packet. It's a small dept, only 32 sworn officers, so maybe that's why so few showed?

I'll call the city's HR lady and ask her how I ranked.

Even if I end up not getting the job, it's still good practice for when the BIG oral board comes up for me in (hopefully) a couple more years, if San Jose ever decides to hire again in my lifetime.
